The computer lab on the 1st floor is currently out of order. There are limited public computers available on the 2nd floor. Printing and photocopying are still available. We apologize for the inconvenience.
The accessible washroom at Carlisle Branch is not working. We aim to get it fixed quickly.
The following branches will be closed: Dundas, Red Hill, Terryberry, Turner Park, Valley Park, and Waterdown.
Central Library will remain open as a Cool Place from 12-5 pm, with limited service on the 1st floor only.

The parking lot elevator at Terryberry Branch is not working. Members will need to use the accessible ramp at the Mohawk entrance and the inner elevator. We're working to get it fixed quickly.

The accessibility ramp at Mount Hope Branch is damaged. The handrail is not available. The ramp will not be available while being repaired. We aim to fix it quickly.

What is Self-Serve Extended Access?
It allows registered Members access to HPL's collections, public computers, Wi-Fi and space in the Carlisle, Freelton, Lynden and, Greensville branches during hours when Staff are not scheduled.
How do I sign up?
Pick up a form at a branch, or download, print and fill out the form. Bring the completed form to any HPL branch to finalize the registration process with Staff.

What services are offered?
Registered Members can browse and borrow items in branch collections and access Wi-Fi at the Carlisle, Freelton, Lynden and Greensville branches during specified hours and during hours when Staff aren’t scheduled.
What if I need help when Staff aren’t in the branch?
Staff are scheduled to work at the branch for a portion of each business day. For extended hours, HPL staff at other branches provide remote support via a dedicated video/phone link using the Open+ system. Additional security cameras are also on site to monitor the branches.
