- Public computers are available at all branches. JAWS (Job Access With Speech) computers are not available.
- Printing is available at all branches.
- Photocopying and scanning is available at all branches except at Westdale and Concession.
- Public Wi-Fi is available at all branches.
- Makerspace services are available at select locations.

Hamilton Public Library Hosts 30-hour Weekend Teen Hackathon
HAMILTON, ON – Dec 1, 2018 – More than 150 high school and university students converge at Central Library on Saturday and Sunday Dec 8-9 for Hack the Hammer’s Urban Hacks Hackathon. Within 30 hours they will design solutions to major urban challenges using City of Hamilton open source data. A hackathon is best described as an invention marathon where participants learn, build and share creations over a short time.
Partners include City of Hamilton Economic Development Forum, Balsamiq and fluidmedia
WHAT: Urban Hacks Hackathon brings together GTA students to brainstorm solutions to major urban challenges using City of Hamilton open source data.
WHO: 150+ high school and university students interested in programming, design, engineering and entrepreneurship
