All public washrooms at Barton Branch are not working. We aim to get it fixed quickly.
From March 23 until April 12, Valley Park Community Centre will be closed for renovations, reopening April 13. Pool and changerooms will remain closed until early summer 2026.
Valley Park Branch will remain open during the renovations for your library needs.
Filming will take place Mar 3-4, 7am to 11pm, at 1464 Centre Rd. This may impact traffic flow in the surrounding area.
As of Monday, March 2, Concession Branch's Living Room and Makerspace areas are closed. (The next nearest Makerspaces are Sherwood and Terryberry Branches.) Seating may be limited at times. Renovations are expected to be completed in late Spring. Thank you for your patience.

HPL's Annual Evening for Book Lovers Event to Unveil the 2018 Hamilton Reads Title
HAMILTON, ON – June 1, 2018 – Hamilton Public Library hosts An Evening for Book Lovers on Friday, June 8 at Central Library. First, we welcome author Alison Pick, who will read from her novel, Strangers with the Same Dream. Then, be among the first to find out the book every Hamiltonian should read this year as we reveal the 2018 Hamilton Reads title. Attendees will also be entered into a Grand Prize draw
The emcee for the evening is Annette Hamm, co-host of CHCH-TV Morning Live.
Tickets for this 19+ ages event, which includes food and refreshments, are $10.
WHAT: Author, Alison Pick reads from her novel, Strangers with the Same Dream and will sign her books afterwards HPL also announces the 2018 Hamilton Reads title.
WHO: Alison Pick is a Canadian author and poet. Her written works include two published novels, a memoir and two poetry collections.
