A Passport to Adventure with HPL’s Summer Reading Club
HAMILTON, ON – June 24, 2025—Hamilton Public Library’s travel-themed Summer Reading Club is back for a season full of fun, learning and discovery. The program runs June 28 to September 2 and invites young readers to explore new worlds through books and activities.
Celebrate the start of summer with HPL’s free, family-friendly Kickoff Party on Friday, June 28, at any of our 23 branches and two Bookmobiles. Registration opens on the same day. Visit any HPL branch or Bookmobile or sign up online at hpl.ca/src. Pick up a free reading tracker/passport and set a reading goal to earn stickers and prizes.
Summer Reading Club includes games, arts and crafts, live performances, animal visits, tech exploration, music, movies and teen-only events. Kids ages 6-12 can also get extra reading support through the Reading and STEAM Buddies program from July 7 to August 18.
“We’re thrilled to invite families back for another summer of reading, creativity and connection,” says Katelyn Granger, Manager of Youth Services at Hamilton Public Library. “From exciting programs and special guests to hands-on learning and reading support, the Summer Reading Club helps kids build confidence, stay engaged and form lasting bonds with their library.”
The TD Summer Reading Club is a free national program supported by TD Bank Group and delivered by over 2,000 libraries across Canada. It celebrates Canadian stories and inspires a lifelong love of reading.
