Waterdown and Millgrove Branches Closing November 5
November 2, 2015 – Hamilton Public Library’s Waterdown and Millgrove Branches will close at the end of business on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 8:00 p.m.
Customers are encouraged to pick up all holds and library materials before November 5 and to indicate where future holds should be sent. Materials that are not picked up will be available at the new Waterdown Branch location when it opens in the coming weeks.
The new 15,000-square-foot facility, located at 163 Dundas Street East, will be part of a larger community complex that will also house a Senior Centre, the City’s Municipal Service Centre, Flamborough Archives, and Flamborough Information & Community Services.
Library customers in Flamborough can continue to access library services and materials in the interim by visiting other branch locations in the area, including: Carlisle (1496 Centre Road, Carlisle), Dundas (18 Ogilvie Street, Dundas), Freelton (1803 Brock Road, Freelton) and Greensville (59 Kirby Avenue, Greensville).
To better serve the Millgrove community, a new Bookmobile stop at Millgrove Public School is scheduled to begin operating on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. starting November 10.
