City IT Planned Maintenance
A City IT systems update is scheduled for early Saturday morning. This will impact access to HPL's network and some applications. This update will improve overall network capacity, performance, resiliency, reliability and is the foundation for future network updates. Thank you for your patience.

Early Closure - All HPL Branches, Friday, November 22
Due to a special event, all HPL branches will close at 4 pm on Friday, November 22.
Central Library's 4th Floor will be closed all day except for the Newcomer Learning Centre and Makerspace which will be open until 4 pm.
Regular service hours resume on Saturday, November 23.

More Hamilton Public Library Branches Opening for Takeout
HAMILTON, ON – July 3, 2020 – HPL is opening six more branches for Takeout service: Ancaster, Kenilworth, Sherwood, Saltfleet, Turner Park and Waterdown.
WHAT: HPL members can start placing holds for pickup at six additional branches, beginning Thursday July 9. When your holds are ready, you can schedule a pickup time beginning Tuesday July 14, 2020.
WHO: Library members: manage your holds beginning July 9 and when they’re ready, HPL will email or call you. Then you can make an appointment to pick up your holds starting at hpl.ca/takeout or call 905-546-3200. Pickup dates begin July 14.
WHERE: Phase 2 of Takeout begins July 14, 2020.
WHEN: Hamilton Public Library is opening six more branches, in addition to the four already open (Central, Dundas, Red Hill and Terryberry) where library members can pick up their items on hold when they’re ready.
