HPL’s Summer Reading Club Registration is Open
HAMILTON, ON – June 10, 2024 – Hamilton Public Library’s Summer Reading Club is packed with fun and fascinating activities and reading adventures for kids and teens. Registration is now open. Get your free reading tracker, stickers, and book, earn prizes, and enter contests. Official Blast Off Parties are Friday June 28.
You can join the Club online at hpl.ca/src or head to any of HPL’s 23 branches or Bookmobile. Log your reading milestones and enter for a chance to win cool prizes.
HPL has a great lineup of Summer Reading Club programs and special events. Experiences include Reading Adventures for all ages, Special Guests including fuzzy, scaly and feathered animal friends, Movies and Music and hundreds of programs for lovers of Arts, Science and Tech.
Extra reading help during the summer break is also available through HPL’s Reading Buddies program. Children 6-12 are invited to meet with a volunteer Summer Reading Buddy to practice reading through fun, hands-on activities such as games, arts and crafts.
“We’re excited to host another summer of programs, activities and special guests that inspire a love of reading in kids of all ages,” says Katelyn Granger, Manager of Youth Services at Hamilton Public Library. “The TD Summer Reading Club is also a great opportunity for kids to develop a relationship with their local library so they and future generations can benefit from their services throughout their lives.”
The TD Summer Reading Club is a free program delivered by over 2,000 public libraries across Canada. Generously sponsored by TD Bank Group, it celebrates Canadian authors, illustrators and stories, and is designed to inspire a love of reading among children.
