HPL is recovering from the City of Hamilton's cybersecurity-related incident, which began Sunday February 25 and continues today. Learn more.
- Public computers are available at all branches. JAWS (Job Access With Speech) computers are not available.
- Printing is available at all branches.
- Photocopying and scanning is available at all branches except at Westdale and Concession.
- Public Wi-Fi is available at all branches.
- Makerspace services are available at select locations.

2023-24 Writer In Residence
Thank you to Jaclyn Desforges, the 2023-24 Mabel Pugh Taylor Writer in Residence. (A Writer in Residence is an established author who mentors aspiring scribes.)

About Jaclyn Desforges
Jaclyn Desforges is the author of Danger Flower and Why Are You So Quiet? She is the winner of the 2022 Hamilton Literary Award for Poetry, 2022 City of Hamilton Creator Award, 2020 Hamilton Emerging Artist Award for Writing, two 2019 Short Works Prizes and the 2018 RBC/PEN Canada New Voices Award. She holds a Master of Fine Arts from the University of British Columbia’s School of Creative Writing and lives in Hamilton with her partner and daughter.
